What I Wore to the Seattle Erotic Disciplines Festival (SEAF).

Yesterday, The Boyfriend and I sought out on a real date and attended the 8th annual San antonio Erotic Arts Festival, held in the Washington Center. Events like SEAF are not only found a great place to discover and be seen, they’re also an excellent excuse pertaining to dressing up.

I had the chance pull out my custom made Totally Waisted corset (which I never have worn since September–last seen in my Dragon*Con post the following) and paired this with an Alexander McQueen for Target skirt and Chicago Perla stockings.

Unfortunately, photography wasn’t allowed at the event, but you will find dozens of photos from your spectacle (including a wonderful burlesque show…which in turn featured my teachers Inga Ingenue and The Shanghai Pearl) below on Facebook (almost certainly NSFW).

In a tasty morsel of lingerie-related news that is sweeping the dunia ngeblog, Lane Bryant alleges that ABC network turned down their brand new Cacique nighties ad for being way too sexy. Yes, the very same ABC that broadcasts the Victoria’s Secret manner show every year.

Based on Lane Bryant, ABC demanded excessive editing and recuts because the model’s cleavage was, well, too cleavagey. ABC strenuously denies the promises and is all but getting in touch with Lane Bryant a bunch of liars.

No matter what actually happened, it is really an excellent excuse to publish a couple of lingerie ads. For your perusal, I present the pleasantly sexy Lane Bryant lingerie ad, followed by the scandalously scintillating Victoria’s Secret ad from their most recent fashion present.

Burlesque 101: The last Session

Well, I am almost to the end of my late night journey. A couple of days ago, we had the very last class before the show. That night had been all about the dress rehearsal. I put on full dress-up costume, makeup and wig (I kind of resemble Beyonce from Goldmember, which is why the woman’s picture is up over) and rocked out to my personal music. While there are still a number of rough patches (specially around the things I just added this week similar to my high heels and also afro wig), I’m super-excited concerning performing my bit on-stage in front of an honest-to-goodness target audience this Saturday.

While members of the audience defintely won’t be allowed to take images or video (that i understand completely…you have to protect the level of privacy of all the students), I’m hoping the official photographer as well as videographer for the show are certain to get some great images involving me. If so, you had best believe I am going to share them all along with you here, on the website.

I feel like I should use this entry to give a bit more background on my small character. As mentioned inside my very first burlesque school post, her brand is Velvet Chicago Soie. I know a lot of viewers were rooting for a stage name with Treacle inside it, but this character feels so very, very different from me that she deserves her own name. I really like the way Velvet L . a . Soie slithers off the tongue; it feels very sexual…and just a little bit great.

If you haven’t got from all my personal references to afro wigs along with catsuits, Velvet is a figure firmly rooted in the Blaxploitation era of the Seventies. She’s a real badass, and spends her days stopping all kinds of Grade A booty. But she also offers a softer aspect, one where she wears thick dorky glasses and reads comics and watches Superman (yes, I know…just about all hobbies which appear suspiciously similar to my own. ). In my routine, My partner and i show Velvet changing from a day out in the streets to a tranquil evening at home…with many different stripping, of course.

Over the following few days, I’ll focus on refining my make-up, practicing my program, and selling our tickets. The next time My partner and i write about burlesque, it will be to tell you how my own very first performance at any time went. . Thank you so much for sharing the journey with me.

Between the costs of transferring and the costs of just living, I’m on a slight lingerie diet. No fresh skivvies for the next month or two…even though I do anticipate raising the ban with time for a birthday celebrate! Anyhow, while going to Sweet Cherry Vintage (among the numerous amazing blogs on my own blogroll), I ran across this information on Playboy Corset lingerie.

The good folks from Playboy have only released an new version of their classic Rabbit Corset costume. While it’s not fairly for me (I’ve seen better quality elsewhere for less…even though without the Playboy identify), this hot little number caught attention.

I know, I know. It can be cheap. It’s trashy. It’s tasteless. It’s completely improper. But I love it anyway. And I can’t help yet think how wonderful this bra along with panty set would look on period during my next late night performance. What say anyone?

Tinsel for Your Ta-tas: A Nippies Assessment

The glow from last weekend’s burlesque demonstrate is just starting to reduce, but before I set aside my afro wig and my booty shorts, I want to review my choice of nipple handles for that evening…Nippies by Bristol6.

Many people have worn nipple covers, and most of us have heard of pasties, but Nippies is the better of both of these worlds. It combines the adhesive properties of a regular nipple area concealer with the glistening, jewel-like qualities of a pastie.

Bristol6 ended up being kind enough to transmit me a sample from the sparkly gold stars pictured above, and they were absolutely remarkable. Not only did these people completely cover my personal nipples, they also stayed at in place through a pair of sexy, sweat-inducing burlesque exercises. Review Wednesday: Sock Principle Oversized Boucle Legwarmers

Wheeee! It’s time for the next Review Wednesday. Nowadays, I’m talking about your Sock Theory Oversized Boucle Legwarmers. I got these back in Feb (a.k.a new. the dead involving winter), and they were absolute lifesavers. I’d never put on legwarmers before in my lifestyle, but I found personally putting on the Sock Idea ones as often as you possibly can, especially as rainboot ships.

The boucle makes them very warm and delicate, and when worn along with boots, it looks similar to you’re wearing truly nubby knee-high socks. They’re also very supple; I have muscular calves but had simply no problems wearing all of these day. At only $12/pair, these types of have The Lingerie Abuser seal of approval–they’re a must-buy.
