More Silhouette Adore

February 11th, 2012 >> Shoes For Wedding Day

Cherie was sweet enough to share some of her silhouette details with us these days! Special thanks to the accomplished Kate Harrison for sending myself these photos.

Through Cherie, For the initial outline of silhouette that has been used throughout, we were holding created by Jamie who has a local store called BlueClara at Etsy. I sent her several photos of profiles which Larry and I required at the Tech art gallery in San Jose. I had dessert cutters made by Victor Trading Co and brought them to an area bakery here in Alameda called Boniere Bakery. They provided the cookies with sugar cookie dough and white and also grey royal icing.

Since we were having guests take home a few candy after our afternoon affair, My partner and i made a logo for the bags that would put money them a good morning in English and Tagalog, “Magandang Hapon” and “Good Afternoon.” I oftentimes tried the silhouettes that Jamie created us and applied my handy Gocco to screenprint/stamp them onto paper bags that we obtained from Paper Mart. My partner and i made the streamers utilizing goldenrod and grey ribbons from Britex and glued them onto timber dowels from a local home improvement store. I also made a minor note for company asking them to influx the streamers when we drop the aisle.

I found this Filipino-American wedding highlighted in Martha Stewart Weddings and also borrowed the idea of making cocktail swizzles using bamboo drink stirs and also small labels which read, “Mabuhay,” a Filipino greeting that means, “Long Stay!” I also printed product labels that read, “L’ Chaim,” a new Jewish greeting which means, “To Life!”

I really loved the look of framed silhouettes and also felt cut-outs so I remove our silhouettes on thought (using the silhouettes made for us by Jamie), glued them on to a off white background, framed these people in embroidery hoops and set a grey velvet ribbon to hang them on the chairs.

Kristin via Twin Ravens Press inside Eugene, Oregon did each of the graphic design and letterpress publishing for us. She even wrote a blog post with in-depth details on the design process. I screenprinted the wedding site insert using my Gocco and typed along with rubber-stamped the text/graphics in the packages. Photos below through Kristin. I LOVE this invite suite! It’s therefore fun and has a whole lot little details. Thank you Cherie and Kate!

About this session coming from Angela, “The couple is Lucy & Alex. His or her recently married as well as their theme was 1950s Glamour. They had any 20-piece swing band at the wedding playing Joe Sinatra, etc. So they went for a vintage seem with the photos. Real Wedding: John + Sharon’s Wedding with a Bike

January 8th, 2012 >> Shoes For Wedding Day

When Sharon very first sent me several photos from her marriage ceremony, I really loved how her husband as well as her incorporated so many details about themselves inside their day. That really is what it’s about – creating the day about you like a couple! Their service was at Baldwin Mountains Scenic Overlook throughout Culver City and then that they had their reception with the Smog Shoppe (one of my preferred locations!) All the amazing photos are by Walter Pieringer. Sharon was fairly sweet enough to send a few details about their day additionally. Thanks so much pertaining to sharing your day around Sharon and Jim!

We had an amazing time! Many of us made everything from the actual centerpieces, to the picture booth to the chocolate bags and chocolate display to hand made buttons for all the guests and so much more. We had a relevant video loop playing during our reception which our friend created, that was us riding motorcycles thru various displays.

When Sharon first routed me photos, We loved all the photos with the bikes and had to know what the story was! From Sharon, The cycle was very significant to us, particularly to Jim. He’s an Art Director with OdysseyBMX. He has been driving bmx bikes since they was a young son back in Long Island. All of us met in Chicago through some mutual friends at an Action Sporting function in Pomona. It was extremely casual, and it ended up being more like “Hi”, “Bye”. Then a couple of years later we fulfilled again, and have never ever been separated (that has been 3 years ago). A few of Jim’s pro players compete in the X Games, so it’azines another reason that we could meet up again, along with why we have some common interest.

So we had been riding a made to order Hercules/Sunday Frame bmx sidehack with Journey parts. Orange edition was painted along with decaled by Jim. Our ordained minister, Mike Ardelean, is also a pro bmx athlete. One of our closest and dearest friends.

How great is this photo presentation area?? So creative as well as fun. It was manufactured by Jim and his pal Jeff.

Our buddies surprised us generating shirts for all the wedding guest. Yesterday the wedding, we had a Beach Volleyball Day for all you guest to hang out and about, catch up, and get to find out one another little more before the Big Day. So our bridal party made T-shirts for everybody. What great buddies!

I love these invites! John designed them together them screen imprinted on handkerchiefs at a nearby printer. Many of our buddies brought the invitation with them and put on the extender as a pocket handkerchief, that we encouraged on the invitation. One of my co-worker’s mom created a dress out of the two handkerchief for their daughter to wear at the wedding. It turned out great that everyone found another use for that invitation. Also, his mom helped all of us make the ceramic chickens. (She just ends up having a kiln in her basement. Lucky us!) There were purple and orange ceramic birds with the center piece. There were ample for each of the invitee to take some home.

Looking back, my favorite memories were everything leading up to the wedding. Jim and i also had an amazing moment creative and adding pieces of us in our wedding. We got within engaged in 12 , 2008, and made a decision to have the wedding in less than 6 month. So it stimulated a lot of energy to get motivated and layout a wedding that resembled our personalities. In the actual wedding, I do think my favorite part had been the Pae Bek Ceremony. It turned out so unique as well as our friends liked it. It also permitted us to recognize each of our parents and have all of them incorporated in the evening. Additionally i got to wear any korean hanbok, which was so beautiful.

December 28th, 2011 >> Shoes For Wedding Day

Yesterday I was watching the Emmy Red Carpeting Show – the best part in my opinion! I love seeing just what everyone is wearing, their head of hair, makeup, jewelry – love it. And it’s an incredible place to get notion for your wedding day :) The most popular dress of the evening was Mila Kunis. She wore a tea-length dress by Monique Lhuillier. Someone described it as being ” vintage ballerina-chic.” Love it. As well as the shoes! So excellent and very different from all others. Some of my some other favorites are under.

Love the way these types of dresses flow. Leighton Meester seemed like a Greek deity in their layered Bottega Veneta gown. I like Lindsay Price’s color of plum and Kate Walsh’azines gorgeous gray T.Mendel Grecian-inspired gown. The detail in the draping while using sweetheart bustline — so passionate!

Some of my favorite hair and make-up looks. Adore Jennifer Love Hewitt’s curly hair – hippie chic at it’azines best!

Who were your favorites? Do you find any ideas from the red carpeting?

Eco-Friendly Wedding Details

Posted by: admin

November 23rd, 2011 >> Shoes For Wedding Day

Earlier I helped photographer Sabine Scherer promote her Eco-Contest. No cost wedding photograhy for a inventive wedding that is also eco-conscious. And, not only is this wedding ceremony both of those, but it is also budget friendly! With any luck , these photos as well as descriptions will help supply some ideas to incorporate for your day. A lot of these tips are easy to do. Cheers so much for revealing the results Sabine!

From Sabine, I loved that they had a container on the bench using them during the ceremony with the pictures of the loved ones that could not become a member of them. The wedding came about at the beautiful Leonard River in northern California.

Frankly, I think almost all ceremonies should finish with a canoe experience. How cool is that! I agree!

When you driven up to the Lake houses you were welcomed after some packet (printed on recycled paper naturally) that had all the information associated with where the guests have been staying. These were stuck just using the tree with twine and clothespins. Extremely cute. All the cisterns you see were gathered from thrift shops, craigslist and buddies. To fill each one of these jars Regina & Tim produced their own soy candles (a lot friendlier than your own average paraffin candle) and got flowers that were neighborhood and in season.

It was a brilliant idea – Regina & Ricky did not want to go through a ton of glassware, so everyone wrote their name (with twig pens) on a label attached to mason jars. By doing this guests only utilized one glass pertaining to water & lemonade throughout the evening. I wanted to accomplish the same thing at my own wedding – hence it’s so brilliant! The actual table runners have been from burlap sacks Regina along with Tim collected from a local coffee roaster and can be composted after the wedding. Apparently the leftovers were used for bedroom races. Too bad I missed that part of the weekend.

All the foods was local organic seasonal food. As well as the bread was to die for! To top it all from the beef came from the particular fields right beside Leonard Lake Road. This doesn’t get much more local than that. All of the wine along with beer served had been also local and organic. The ale came in kegs so not to have too many bottles for you to recycle. To cover it all up, at the end of the night they utilized compostable corn plates for the pie.

And to leading it all off Regina & Ricky went on an eco-friendly honeymoon at Suenos Tulum, Tulum Mexico!

Thanks so much Sabine! And the contest was such a accomplishment that she wil be offering the idea again in a few months, so if you want a few free wedding photography and they are planning a green wedding ceremony – or maybe this has supplied some ideas! – make sure you maintain checking her blog. I will also inform you when the contest starts off. I really love how it turned it. Along with, Sabine is getting married soon – at the same spot!! Congrats to you and your new husband!! Can’big t wait to see your pictures.
